What is the “X” factor?

If I mentioned “The Einstein factor” does any image pop-up in your mind.  Well every Sunday night on ABC TV there is a quiz programme called ‘The Einstein factor”.

 

What happens on “The Einstein factor”?

There are three players; each selects a topic of their choice. Each player is then asked a series of questions on their chosen topic and general knowledge. The players pit their knowledge against each other and a selected panel known as “The Brains trust”

 

How will “The “X” factor” work?

Like “The Einstein Factor” with some modifications.

 

Teams of three boys from Year Nine, Ten and Eleven will compete.

 

Each team will select a novel. The teams will be asked questions directly on their chosen novel in round one. In round two, teams will be tested on their chosen novel and general knowledge.

 

For example: Jack, Peter and Xavier form a Year Nine team. They will compete against other teams from Year Nine. At the end of the rounds there will be a Year Nine winning team.

 

The same will apply for Year ten and Year eleven.

 

At the end of Term Three or during Term Four. The championship team from each year level will compete against each other for the coveted title of  “The Xavier X Factor Champions” for 2009.
